The partnership between MBL and commercial vendors is critical to the success of the MBL’s courses, particularly the Advanced Research Training Courses. Starting with four vendors in 1970, this partnership has grown to 155 vendors loaning over $24 million in equipment, software, and supplies each year, effectively making MBL one of the largest demo centers in the world in the summer. The MBL is grateful to all participating vendors, who enhance the research discovery process for course faculty and students and contribute to a dynamic atmosphere for innovation in microscopy, imaging, and other scientific technologies. Here is a post from one of the partnering vendors this year.

Last week, our Field Sales Manager for the East Coast US, Brad Reynolds, visited the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. To support multiple courses and programmes going on, we loaned several LED illumination systems.

If you’re at Woods Hole, you can see our pE-300ultra, pE-300lite and pE-4000 Illumination Systems on a range of microscopes, from compound microscopes to stereomicroscope systems, and get an idea of how this technology is a world away from traditional metal halide microscope illumination for fluorescence microscopy.
